Make It Monday! Ribbon Wrapped Dolly Hair Bands

It is Make it Monday again and I am thrilled to share with you a fun party craft you can do for your dolls with your friends or as party favors!
To make your own  Ribbon Wrapped Hair Bands you will need:
- Hairband blanks from Punch Place Plus. Com
-Double Sided tape
Step 1- Assemble all the supplies need for your hairbands.
Step 2- Use double sided tape and line the inside edge of the hairband.
Step 3- Remove the backing of the tape.

Step 4- Cut 1 inch from your ribbon and stick it over the end of one side of the hairband, this will give the hairband a universal look when you finish wrapping, you will do the other side near the end.
Step 5- Add another piece of double sided tape on the opposite side of your hairband and continue to wrap the ribbon around the hairband, layering it as you go.
Step 6- As you wrap and get closer to the other end you will need to repeat step 4, then add more tape as shown at the base of the hairband and fold and tuck the end of your ribbon on the inside edge of your hairband, securing it with more of the tape as shown above,  trim the tape to fit the ribbon.
Now your dolly is ready to wear her new hairband!

I really enjoyed making these hairbands and you can add a bow and gems to your wrapped hairbands and make them to match every outfit!

Make It Monday~ Happy St. Patrick's Day! Make A Clover Princess Tiara For Your Dolls

Happy St. Patrick's Day, Today I am celebrating St. Patrick's Day and my Irish Heritage with Stew and Soda Bread. But Before I put the Stew on and warm the oven I wanted to share with you an quick and easy St. Patrick's Day craft you can do for your dolls. To make your own Clover Princess Tiara for Your Dolls You will need:
-Four Green Pipe cleaners I used Kelly Green but any green would work
-Three Green Gem Stones or Stickers
-Hot Glue for adhering the gems to the tiara or glue dot

Step 1- Assemble all your supplies and take the first pipe cleaner and form it into a circle as shown in the photo above. Set it aside.
Step 2- Take another pipe cleaner and form your first clover or shamrock shape, make a loop and twist the pipe cleaner into place. Twist another loop and twist it into place, and repeat on the third loop, you will have some pipe cleaner stem left at the bottom of the shape, you will use this to twist the clovers on to the round circle shape which will be the band of your tiara.
Step 3- Repeat step two on the remaining two pipe cleaners. Shape the round part of your clovers into a heart shape with your fingers giving them the look of a clover leaf.
Step 4- Once you have your Clovers or Shamrock shapes made it is time to twist the stems on to the tiara band. Start with the middle one and add a clover on either side, twist the stems around the tiara base.
Step 5-Heat up your glue gun or get a glue dot ready and in the center of each clover or shamrock shape press a gem stone.
Step 6- Once dried you can place your Clover Princess Tiara on your dolls head!

I hope you enjoyed today's post and that you have a wonderful St. Patrick's day! Today I used my Doll House Doll Ruby as the Clover Princess.
I look forward to sharing more doll play ideas with you soon~ Karen Owen aka Karen Mom of Three

Make It Monday~ Make Your Dolls A Kelly Green Rit Dyed Wooden Bead Necklace For St. Patrick's Day!

Happy Make It Monday! I have wanted to share this craft with you for quite some time and today using two of my Red Headed Dolls to model the Rit Dyed Wood bead necklaces I created for them for St. Patrick's day. This is an easy and fun craft to do for a sleep over or St. Patrick's themed craft party.
To create your own you will need:
-A Package of unfinished wood beads in various sizes ( I got mine at the dollar store)
- A disposable cup
-A metal spoon
-Plastic Wrap
-News Paper
-  Pipe cleaners
-Cookie Sheet
Step one- Assemble all your craft supplies. Open and pour your Rit Dye into the cup.
Step 2- Add your unfinished wooden beads, stir with a metal spoon.
Step 3- Cover with plastic wrap and set aside over night. The longer you leave your beads in the dye the darker they become, you can stir them ever few hours to make sure your beads are evenly coated.
Step 4- Drain your beads from the dye, (Pour your dye back in your bottle to use for another project later on)
Step 5- Line a cookie sheet with newspaper and put your beads on the paper, roll them around as they dry.

Step 6- Once dry, thread your beads onto your pipe cleaner. Alternate the sizes as you go or keep them all the same it is up to you!
Step 7- On one end of your pipe cleaner bend the edge and twist to create a loop as shown in the top photo above.
Step 8- On the opposite end make a "hook" shape and place the necklace on your doll, placing the hook through the loop to secure it.
I hope you have enjoyed today's post! Working with Rit Dye is so easy and fun, it is one of my favorite craft items to work with. No mater if it is wood, Fabric, Paper Crafts and more are enhanced by Rit Dye!
