Make It Monday Dolly Cheese Burgers!

Spring is the start of BBQ season and on nice days like today you can smell the BBQ's going as soon as school is out! Today I want to show you how you can make your own doll sized Cheese Burgers from oven bake clay for your dolls to enjoy this BBQ season.

For Today's Make it Monday craft you will need:
-Oven bake Clay  in dark brown, tan and orange
-An oven
-A craft knife
-Wax paper
-A baking sheet
-A tooth pick
-A Ruler

Step 1: pre heat your oven to the directions on your oven bake clay package, cover your work space with wax paper.
Step 2: Unwrap your dark brown clay and work it with your fingers into two one an 1/2 inch "flattened patties" set aside and wash your hands so that the darker color on your hands doesn't transfer to your lighter tan clay.
Step 3: Unwrap and roll out bun's from the tan making the bun bottom and top slightly larger then your patties
Step 4: Time to add the cheese, unwrap and remove a small amount of orange from your clay package, roll it out and flatten it, then use a craft knife to create a square slice of cheese.
Step 5: Assemble your cheese burger and gently top with your top bun. Then use your tooth pick to make the "seeds" on your bun. Gently poke holes in the top of the bun.
Step 6: Place it on a baking sheet and bake according to the clay package directions. Remove and cool before allowing your dolls to eat them!

I look forward to sharing more Make it Monday crafts with you again soon!

Make It Monday! Strawberries! Oven Baked Clay Tutorial...

I love it when Strawberries are in season! Today I wanted to show you an easy way you can add to your doll play food collection in my tutorial for making doll strawberries.
To make your own Strawberries you will need:
-Red and Green Oven Bake Polymer Clay ( I used Sculpey Bake Shop Oven Bake Clay)
-Sculpey work and bake clay mat or wax paper to cover your work space
-A craft knife and tooth pick or Sculpey clay tools
-A baking sheet
-Your oven
Step 1- Assemble all your tools and supplies, cover your work area.
Step 2- Pre heat your oven to the directions on your clay package I set mine to 275 degrees F
Step 3- Open your red clay package and work your clay into several small red balls as shown above. Press the red balls gently between your fingers to form the tip of the strawberry.
Step 4- Once you have the desired shape use your Sculpey Tool or a tooth pick to poke holes in the strawberries, this makes the look of strawberry seeds. Place them aside while you work on the stems. Remember the strawberries do not need to look exactly the same!

Step 5- Open your green package and work a small amount of the clay into a long ball shape, use a craft knife to flatten an pull some of the clay into a thin flat piece. Use the knife to cut triangle leaves as shown in the photos above.
Step 6- Separate the green  leaves and lay them around the top of your strawberries and press into place. Repeat on each strawberry. Once you have all the leaves in place "pinch" the green to make a stem at the top of your strawberries.
Step 7- Once all your strawberries are assembled place them on the baking sheet covered with your work and bake mat or paper and bake them according to the manufacturers instructions.
Step 8- Remove them from the oven and allow them to cool completely.
Strawberries dress up any dolly plate! Place on top of hand made desserts, on a plate or in a dolly bowl!
I hope you enjoyed today's Make It Monday Tutorial!
I look forward to sharing more craft ideas soon ~ Karen Owen aka Karen Mom of Three

Make It Monday! Easy To Make Easter Basket's...

Today in Make It Monday I wanted to share with you an easy way to make your own Doll Sized Easter Baskets!

To make your own you will need:
-A toilet paper tube
 -Pipe cleaners
-Scissors
-A Plastic Easter Egg
Step 1- cut a toilet paper tube in half, make two snips in the bottom of the tube right across from each other, this will help you form your basket handles.
Step 2- Use your pipe cleaner to create a handle and base shape, twist the pipe cleaner ends together at the top. Cut two more snips in the tube across from the ones you made and add another pipe cleaner. Crossing along the bottom and twisting the ends together at the top.
Step 3- Remove the tube from the basket shape you have created.
Step 4- begin weaving pipe cleaners around the base of your basket form.
Step 5- Add and alternate your pipe cleaners and twist the ends into the basket as shown in the photo above.
Step 6- Once you have added all the colors you wish you can now weave the opposite way around your basket. It may take you 3-4 pipe cleaners to complete this weave.
Step 7- Use a  coordinating colored pipe cleaner to bring your basket handles together and give them strength.
Step 8- Add an Easter Egg and hand it to your Dolly for Play!
I hope you enjoyed today's craft! Enjoy your Easter Celebrations!
