Make it Monday-Cookie Sheets and Cookies
Make It Monday September 17th
Cookie Sheets and Cookies for your dolls
Today I wanted to show you how to make an
easy accessory for your doll play collection. Create two cookie sheets and
cookies for your dolls from items you may already have on hand.
To create todays craft you will need:
-Aluminum foil
-an empty band aid or soap box
- Scissors
-a ruler
-a pencil
- tape *not shown in the above photo
-Optional fun foam sticker shapes (*if you
do not have these cut circles from paper or fun foam to create your “cookies”)
Step 1- Use your ruler to determine how
wide your box is. Mine was 1 inch wide. At ½ inch make a dot at the top and
bottom of the side of your box and use your ruler to trace a line repeat on the
remaining sides of your box.
Step 2- Using your scissors carefully cut
along the line you just created. Start at the open end of your box. When you
finish your box should look like the photo above.
Step 3- Tape the sides of your box together
so they look like a cookie sheet with edges.
Step 4- If your lid over laps as mine did
just add an extra piece of tape and tape it down. It will not show.
Step 5- Remove a small amount of aluminum
foil from the roll, enough to cover one of your “Trays”, Fold the sides up
around the box as shown in the first two photos. Then lift it up and place the
foil inside the box and fold over as shown

My Life as..... Walmart 18" Doll
I was in Walmart a little while ago and noticed they were redoing their 18" doll section. Their new line is My Life as.... and each doll comes in a different themed outfit.
The doll I picked out was a pretty ballerina. I really wanted to see how the quality differed from the AG doll.
I think she has a very pretty face. Her hair is also really gorgeous, but the strands are quite fine and thin and clumps of her hair have already started to shed. And that's with me playing with her.
Her body is the same as the old line. Plastic legs and arms and chest area, then a stuffed body. They are also still made by Madame Alexander.
Her eyes do open and close, but they don't quite close all the way ( little weird ). But not to bad.
I have named her Hayley and I am excited for her to be one of my new models.
Also new, they had some fun play sets. I picked out the baking set because my daughter loves to cook.
She set up these pictures for me with her doll Ashley.
It is a very cute set and comes with lots of pieces. I only wish it came with more cupcakes for the cupcake stand.
So over all I give their new line a thumbs up. They offer great play value at a good price.
Have a happy day :)

Make it Monday-Hand Beaded Bracelets
Make it Monday
Make a hand beaded bracelet for your doll for your collection or as a gift.
To make today's post you will need:
-16- 5 mm faux pearl plastic beads
-1 5 mm bead of a different color -6 inches of stretch magic cord .7mm thick
-clear nail polish -scissors
-Your dolls arm to tie your bracelet around
-A safety pin or sewing needle
Step 1- measure out 6 inches of cord and make a cut
Step 2- thread on to your cord the different color bead, move it to the center of your cord. If your beads do not thread easily onto the cord you may wish to use a pin or sewing needle to poke through the bead first. Step 3- bead 8 faux pearl beads on to one side of the colored bead
Step 4- bead 8 faux pearl beads on to the other side
Step 5- carefully wrap the beaded cord around your dolls wrist. Then tie the bracelet onto your dolls wrist. Make three knots on top of each other pulling tightly. Step 6-carefully remove the bracelet from your dolls wrist
Step 7- with the brush of your clear nail polish, paint clear nail polish over the knots you have just made. Let it dry Step 8- use your scissors to trim the remaining cord close to the knots on your bracelets. Your dolls bracelet is ready to wear.
I hope you enjoyed today's Make it Monday post and I look forward to sharing more doll crafts with you soon.~ By Karen Owen aka Karenmomofthree
