Make It Monday-Felt Hair Clips for 18" Dolls

Daydream Doll Boutique- Make It Monday
Let’s Make Felt Hair Clips For Our Dolls

Today I wanted to share with you an easy and fun way to dress up dollar store hair clips for your dolls hair. This very simple sewing project is a great way to introduce hand sewing to even the youngest novice.

To create a Felt Hair Clip for your doll you will need:
-Felt in a color you like
-A small metal hair clip, I got mine at the Dollar Store
-A small button
-A needle
-Thread
-Scissors
-Your Doll

Step 1- Cut out the shape you would like for your hair clip. (I cut out a heart but you could cut out a star)
Step 2- Thread your needle .Make a double knot at the end of your thread
Step 3- Place your button on the center of your shape
Step 4- Open your hair clip
Step 5- Secure your Felt shape and button to the hair clip as shown

Step 6- When you feel you have enough stitches, make a knot in your stitches and trim
Step 7- Put the hair clip in your dolls hair and enjoy. You can repeat all these steps on your remaining hair clips.
